Keeping aside the death of one of its earlier lead actors, Pratyusha Banerjee, Colors most popular television show Balika Vadhu is all set for a leap. And while we had told you that actress Mahhi Vij is going to play the female lead post leap in Balika Vadhu, the TV industry is abuzz with news of her male lead! It is none other than hottie Ruslaan Mumtaz! The Bollywood actor who turned to TV with the show Kehta Hai Dil Jee Le Zara opposite Sangeeta Ghosh, became very popular on the small screen. Mahhi Vij will be seen in the role of the grown up child bride Nimboli (currently played by child artiste Gracy Goswami) on Balika Vadhu. She will romance Ruslaan Mumtaz, and actor Avinash Sachdeva will form the third person in the love triangle.

But the leap in Balika Vadhu that will take place on April 25 is not limited to the lead stars. Veterans Surekha Sikri (Dadisa), Toral Rasputra (Anandi) and Rajeshwari Sachdev (Mangala) will leave the show. Actress Jayshree Soni will be seen as the villain. Ruslaan will be seen playing a rich boy named Krish in Balika Vadhu.

Ruslaan Mumtaz is the son of actress Anjana Mumtaz. He made his Bollywood debut with MP3 – Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (2007) and appeared in some more movies like Tere Sang, Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai, Dangerous Ishq and I Don’t Luv U.
