When TV hunk Barun Sobti made a comeback with the third installment of Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, fans couldn’t contain their excitement but when the ardent fans saw him romancing actress Shivani Tomar on-screen and not the earlier female lead Sanaya Irani, it did not go well among fans. The show failed on the ratings front and therefore, the makers of the show decided t pull the plug off on the show. Besides Barun and Shivani, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3, which was produced by Ishqbaaaz producer Gul Khan, featured Ritu Shivpuri, Seema Azmi, Juhi Aslam, Ketaki Kadam in pivotal roles.

Reportedly, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon 3 is ending its run due to low TRPs and will air its last episode on October 6. Actress Shivani Tomar too confirmed the news. In a statement to Bollywood Life, the actress said, “Yes, it is going off air. The last episode will be telecast on October 6.” Producer Gul Khan too took to Instagram to share the bad news with fans and thank the cast and crew, who made it possible and supported her throughout. Gul wrote, “Sad but true. IPK ending on 6th October. Thanks to all the cast and crew who worked day and night on the show. Thanks to all the fans who supported us. I wish luck and lots of love to the entire team. Hopefully, we will connect soon. IA.”
Apparently, the channel informed the makers a few days back. So now, the story will rush to the climax and fans will soon see their Advay (essayed by Barun) and Chandni (essayed by Shivani Tomar) to reunite on the show. Fans don’t be disheartened as Barun Sobti’s show is making way for Narayani Shastri and Mahima Makwana’s Rishton Ka Chakravyuh that airs now at 6 pm; Rishton Ka Chakravyuh will take the 8 pm slot.
Looks like Star Plus is now banking on Rishton Ka Chakravyuh to revive their 8 pm prime time slot. The channel is reworking on the programming strategy; they have axed the afternoon show and are trying to work on the existing show that are doing well. Rishton Ka Chakravyuh stars popular faces like Mahima Makwana, Narayani Shastri, Sangeeta Ghosh, Anju Mahendru and Parneet Bhat. The show is an unusual story of a mother and daughter.
