Pushpa 2: The Rule is releasing on December 5, 2025. Tickets for the movie are now available in multiplexes across cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, and Hyderabad, ranging from Rs 400 to Rs 1600. The lowest-priced shows are scheduled for early morning and late-night slots. In several states, single-screen theaters have also raised ticket prices by Rs 500 to Rs 1000. This isn’t the first time such high ticket prices have been seen. A similar trend occurred in 2023 with another mega-budget film that generated significant excitement among audiences and fans.
Advance bookings for that film saw ticket prices soar to Rs 2500 – Rs 3000. However, despite the buzz, the movie failed to perform well at the box office. Made on a staggering budget of Rs 700 crore, the film managed to earn only Rs 350 crore, becoming Bollywood’s biggest flop. It featured Prabhas in the lead role, with Saif Ali Khan portraying the primary antagonist.
The risk with such expensive films lies in the challenge of recovering their enormous costs. The movie we are talking about is a pan-India film, which was released in many languages. In this film based on Ramayana, Prabhas played the role of Ram and Saif Ali Khan played the role of Ravana. Kriti Sanon played the role of Sita. The film was directed by Om Raut.
Adipurush was critically planned and many demands were made to boycott it. Om Raut and writer Manoj Muntashir were targeted for hurting religious sentiments. This made Om disappeared from the public eye for more than a month.

Adipurush wasn’t Prabhas’ first flop film. The record for the biggest flop movie in India was previously held by Radhe Shyam, in which he starred alongside Pooja Hegde.
