‘Behaving like animals’: Kailash Kher slams crowd after fans jump barricades at concert

Major chaos erupted during Bollywood singer Kailash Kher’s concert in Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior when the crowd went out of control and first jumped the barricades. Later, the mob climbed onto the stage to get close to the singer while he was performing. Following the incident, Kher broke his silence and even compared humans with animals.

A frustrated Kher was seen saying to the crowd, “If anyone comes close to us or to our equipment, we would stop the programme immediately. We appreciated you so much. However, at this moment, you are behaving like animals.”

The singer was also seen urging senior police officials to move closer to the stage and help manage the situation. However, only a few security personnel were present to control the crowd. As a result, the playback singer, who has delivered several iconic Bollywood numbers, halted the programme midway and left the venue, citing inadequate security arrangements.

The incident drew attention to how the event organisers failed to maintain proper law and order at the venue. Reports also claimed that Kher called on senior police officials and security personnel to take stock of the situation.

However, the police personnel were not enough in number to control the mob creating a ruckus at the event.

This is not the first time that Kailash Kher has faced disruptions during his live shows. Back in January 2023, the singer had an event in Karnataka, where he was manhandled and even attacked with a plastic bottle mid-performance in Hampi.
