Nominated alongside television actors Nakuul Mehta and Ssharad Malhotra, Bepannaah star Harshad Chopra has bagged the award for the category Male Actor of The Year at the Asian Viewers Television Awards (AVTA) 2018. While the handsome hunk won the award for his performance as Aditya in Bepannaah, Surbhi Chandna bagged the award for the Female Actor of The Year for her performance as Annika in the show Ishqbaaz.

Harshad was quite loved as his character Aditya, who had his own guards. Starring alongside Jennifer Winget in the show, Bepannaah received lots of love from the audience. The show, however, went off air abruptly this month since the makers wanted to take the show on the digital platform but both the lead actors, Jenny and Harshad, were not ready to work for the digital platform. This is Harshad’s second award after he bagged the award for the Best Actor Male (Popular) at the Indian Television Academy Awards 2018 that was held on December 11, 2018, in Mumbai.

Ok. So, whenever you start something new there is anticipation of new people new environment, a new routine to be settled into, a new character to be embraced, which is both exciting and unsettling. As an actor Bepannaah has challenged me enough to push me further at the same time gave me enough comfort to make me feel at home. A pleasant, extra ordinary experience is the best way to describe this journey. I am thankful that I had a band of loving, caring, capable and slightly insane professionals to help me through. Thank you @aniruddha.rajderkar for conceiving and making Bepannaah. Thank you Cinevista for believing in and backing Bepannaah. Thank you Colors for giving it a platform and giving it that robust launch. Thank you to everyone, here and across the world who have been directly or indirectly a part of this journey . Even to the Swiggy dilevery guys. I don’t know how to end this. My heartfelt Thank You to everyone who voted, vooted and hooted for Aditya Hooda. It adds to the journey even after the journey is over. Last but not the least thank you to The Indian Television Academy Awards for this little pat on my back.

AVTA, held on December 15, 2018, was a star-studded night where several television stars graced the event. The Asian Viewers Television Awards show acknowledges and felicitates the talented television actors and popular shows that are voted to have entertained the audience the whole year round. This year, the silver screen saw a varied range of daily soaps, reality shows and the likes, that kept the audiences hooked to their television screens. While some shows have been running for more than a year now and are still ranking upwards in popularity, others plugged off after having entertained the audience for quite a decent time. Even though some TV shows were short-lived, they were powerful enough to have weaved their own set of audience on whom they managed to imprint their mark.
