Actress Priyanka Chopra raised eyebrows when she decided to quit Salman Khan’s Bharat. It was being said that her engagement with beau Nick Jonas was the reason behind this. Though Katrina Kaif has replaced her in the movie, speculations surrounding PeeCee’s exit refuse to die. According to a report in Spotboye.com, Team Reshma Shetty, who manages the actress, convinced her to quit the movie. As per a source, Reshma’s team made her understand that project doesn’t belong to her as it was going to be Priyanka’s comeback Hindi movie, the talent management agency didn’t want her to hesitate. Spotboye quoted a source as saying, “The casting did not pan out as envisaged and Priyanka immediately called Ali to tell him about her concerns. The rest, as they say, is history.”

Lately, Salman revealed that Priyanka herself called up director Ali Abbas Zafar and asked him to have her in the film. He revealed to mid-day, “It was sweet of her [Priyanka] to tell us five days before the shoot that she couldn’t do Bharat. I’m glad Katrina is part of the film. She was Atul’s [Agnihotri, producer] first choice. But, Priyanka called Ali [Abbas Zafar] and said she wanted to do Bharat, so we considered her.”
On a related note, Bharat also features actress Disha Patani in a pivotal role. The movie is all set to hit the screens on Eid 2019. Priyanka will next be seen in The Sky Is Pink.
