Malayalam film industry’s popular actress Bhavana is not single anymore. The gorgeous lady is engaged to Kannada producer Naveen. Many were unaware that the two were dating since quite some time but never made it official. Even the engagement ceremony was a hush-hush affair but the good news broke out after a picture from the engagement ceremony went viral on the internet. And since then good wishes for the actress and her fiancee has been pouring in on social media. The ceremony took place at Casino Hotel in Kochi today (March 9). Manju Warrier and Samyukta Varma attended the event.
Bhavana had admitted about the fact that she is dating someone but she never revealed her beau’s name. But the speculations were high that she and Naveen are seeing each other. It was in the year 2012, when Naveen Ramesh Kumar and Bhavana met each other on the sets of Kannada film ‘Romeo’. Ever since then speculations about them dating were doing the rounds but the duo never admitted it. Later in the year 2014, the notable Malayalam actress revealed to a leading daily that she has been in a relationship for two years.
Bhavana told TOI, “I have been in a relationship for the past two years, but I am not ready for marriage now. I do not want to disclose any details about the guy I’m dating. I feel that those details are very personal. I plan to settle down during the end of this year or early next year. Currently, my focus is only on finishing the film projects that I’ve signed.” Bhavana was busy with her projects but speculation about her relationship was doing rounds of social media.

When the daily contacted producer Naveen to get his side of the story, he had said, “I am certainly not dating Bhavana. We did become friends during the making of ‘Romeo’ and she even used to discuss other projects with me. However, we weren’t able to stay in constant touch since she was also not doing enough films in Kannada. I really don’t know how this allegation sprung up all of a sudden, considering I haven’t met her in a long time!” Until 2014, both kept denying about their relationship. But it was early this year that Bhavana’s mother Pushpa confirmed about her daughter’s affair with Naveen and even said their marriage has been fixed by the actress’ late father G. Balachandran. The New Indian Express quoted Pushpa saying, “Their marriage was fixed by Bhavana’s dad when he was alive. Once the date is finalised she will be making an official announcement.” And this engagement picture has finally put an end to all the speculations.
On the work front, Bhavana is gearing up for Malayalam film ‘Honey Bee 2: Celebrations’ and ‘Adam’. She has completed shooting of ‘Adventures of Omanakkuttan’. We once again congratulate Bhavana and Naveen on their engagement!
