Actor Vidya Balan‘s song Ami Je Tomar-Mere Dholna Sun was one of the highlights in the 2007 horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa. Now, along with making the sequel to the film, the makers have also planned to remake the song featuring Tabu in the shoes of Vidya. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the talented actor will be seen performing on the popular Bengali number that was shot on a grand scale in the Akshay Kumar starrer and featured Vidya alongside actor Vineeth. The two actors played lovers – Manjulika and Shashidhar who express their feelings for each other while performing to classical number at the royal court of Raja Vibhuti Narayan, played by Shiney Ahuja. The king has feelings for Manjulika and after being informed about her affair with Sashidhar, he beheads him and imprisons Manjulika in a room where she hangs herself vowing to haunt the king and kill him on the day of Durga Ashtami. The song comes at a very crucial point in the film and seems the makers have planned to cash-in on the same twist in the new story as well. Vidya was appreciated widely for playing the character and acing her dancing skills to perform on the beautiful classical number sung by Shreya Ghoshal and MG Sreekumar. It will be interesting to see how Tabu gives her own touch to the beautiful song in its recreated version. The team of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is moving to Jaipur for a 10-day shoot schedule after which they will head to Lucknow to shoot at a palace. As mentioned in the report by the daily, director Anees Bazmee took a lot of time to select the palace and found the suitable one in Lucknow. The shoot will end in mid-April with a few scenes left to be shot in Mumbai. Apart from Kartik Aaryan and Tabu, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 also features Kiara Advani in the lead. Actor Rajpal Yadav, who played the character of Chhota Pandit in the first film, will return to play another comic role in the new film. Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Murad Khetani, the film is slated to hit the screens on July 31.
