Actor Vicky Kaushal starrer Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship collected Rs 1.55 crore on Thursday and wrapped its first-week collection at Rs 24.18 crore. The film is a horror and first in the genre which is backed by Karan Johar‘s Dharma Productions. Despite receiving a good response from the critics, the film showed a mild performance at the Box Office and its collection on the initial three days remained steady. Bhoot… collected Rs 5.10 crore on its opening day, Rs 5.52 crore on Saturday and Rs 5.74 crore on Sunday, taking the first-weekend total to Rs 16.36 crore.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh released the latest Box Office figures of Bhoot Part One – The Haunted Ship on Twitter and wrote, ‘#Bhoot has low Week 1… Limited growth over weekend, below par trending on weekdays… Weekend 2 is extremely crucial… Fri 5.10 cr, Sat 5.52 cr, Sun 5.74 cr, Mon 2.32 cr, Tue 2.10 cr, Wed 1.85 cr, Thu 1.55 cr. Total: ₹ 24.18 cr. #India biz.” (sic)

In the film directed by Bhanu Pratap Singh, Vicky plays the role of a naval officer who goes on to inspect an abandon ship that is stranded on the shore of Arabian Sea in Mumbai. After his first visit on the ship, he starts hallucinating many things only to realise that he is being haunted by the ghost of a little girl who was on the ship before it hit the seashore.
The film also features Bhumi Pednekar in a brief appearance. It’s both Vicky and Bhumi’s first attempt at the horror genre. The latter, however, has got another horror film to her name. She’s working in Durgavati which is the Hindi remake of Tamil horror Bhagamathie featuring Anushka Shetty in the lead.
