Day by day, the relationship is getting quiet uglier and nasty. According to a report in Firstpost, Yuvraj Singh’s mother Shabnam has finally decided to file a defamation case against her daughter-in-law Akanksha for allegedly spoiling and maligning the image of their family. Shabnam Singh was further quoted saying, “Why do you think she got eliminated? It’s not just because she wasn’t playing the game well but it was due to the fact that she was discrediting Yuvraj, who is a national hero. Obviously, there was public outrage as his fans didn’t like it and voted her out. Yuvi has got a huge fan following and who’s she? She’s merely hopping on Yuvi’s fame and was lying all the time. We will take lawful recourse.” ALSO READ: Bigg Boss 10: Is Priyanka Jagga coming back after this contestant’s exit from the show?

Shabnam Singh’s lawyer Daman Bir Sobti has confirmed the reports and was quoted by Firstpost saying, “Yes, we will be filing a civil suit for damages and a criminal complaint about defamation. We will take video footage from the Bigg Boss house for further proof. She (Akansha) has also been giving a lot of interviews post-eviction. Shabnam will be coming to Chandigarh to discuss the matter with me.”

Shabnam Singh spoke on Akanksha’s elimination and said, “Why do you think she got eliminated? It’s not just because she wasn’t playing the game well but it was due to the fact that she was discrediting Yuvraj, who is a national hero. Obviously, there was public outrage as his fans didn’t like it and voted her out. Yuvi has got a huge fan following and who’s she? She’s merely hopping on Yuvi’s fame and was lying all the time. We will take lawful recourse.”

Recently, Akanksha even said that she is looking for a divorce now and feels that Shabnam Singh is afraid of what she might say to the entire world about their family. She added saying, Shabnam’s statement, Akanksha told earlier, “I think she is afraid of the fact that the things that I have to say are quite true, because if things aren’t true, a person doesn’t really react the way she is reacting to it. You are (She is) afraid of what I might say.” “But (I am) looking for my divorce and I don’t want anything from their house at all. I just want my freedom from that house. I want to go ahead in my life,” she added.

Akanksha even said that his brother-in-law cricketer Yuvraj Singh used to smoke marijuana. Soon, after getting evicted from the Bigg Boss house she was quoted saying that “Yuvraj used to smoke pot”. She even spoke about her troubled marriage and said “Firstly, it wasn’t a marriage in the right sense. I was married only in paper. There was nothing in that relationship. I haven’t lied and I am pretty sure of whatever I have said. Nothing happened in my marriage. I am not backing off from what I said. Saying that matter is sub-judice is the safest thing to do.”

Akanksha earlier also accused her mother-in-law, Shabnam Singh of ill-treating her and even blamed her for her failed wedding. She was even quoted by leading daily saying, “First of all, this matter is sub judice and she (Akansha) is not allowed to speak. It goes under the contempt of court. There’s a special petition I had filed. Anyone can understand the agenda here and everybody knows it. We are not allowed to speak on this matter.”

Soon, Yuvraj Singh’s mother released a statement against all allegations made by Akanksha Sharma and saind, “Me and my family have only knocked the doors of the courts against her false allegations and blackmailing. I deny all these new allegations as well. The matter is sub-judice and I hope every one else also respects the law of land and let the courts bring out the truth through their verdict.” “For the longest time, we as a family have ignored all her unnecessary assaults, giving her the benefit of being a woman, of being immature, and above all of being family. This benefit cannot be extended forever,” she added.

“My son has given his blood, sweat and tears to the nation, this is insulting to him. Yuvi is busy with his upcoming wedding and we don’t want to give her publicity. I would have definitely helped her if she’d asked for it, if she wanted to do something in life. It is her right and dignity. But she can’t badmouth us this way. Her lawyers are misguiding her,” Yuvi’s mother Shabnam added saying.
