Hiten Tejwani has been evicted from Bigg Boss 11 while Luv Tyagi, Akash Dadlani and Puneesh Sharma are still safe in the game. While Shilpa Shinde and Hiten Tejwani were nominated for eviction alongside Luv Tyagi and Priyank Sharma, no one had expected Hiten to leave the house since he was one of the strongest contestants and was expected to be inside the house until the finale. However, in this week’s eviction, the housemates were given a choice to save one contestant (either Priyank or Hiten). While Hina Khan, Luv Tyagi and Akash Dadlani voted against Hiten, Vikas, Arshi Khan and Puneesh Sharma were in Hiten’s favour and Shilpa Shinde’s vote was the deciding vote, who voted for Priyank over Hiten. Well, this not only came as a shock to the audience but also to Bigg Boss 11 host Salman Khan. The latest ousting has definitely left Bhai much disappointed. In an exclusive interview with India.com, Hiten speaks about his experience in the mad-house and gives us insights about his housemates. Excerpts from the interview. How was your experience in Bigg Boss 11?
It was wonderful. I had a lovely experience inside Bigg Boss 11 house. In fact, I am glad that I came out of the house with the same grace that I had gone inside with.
Do you think you deserve to be evicted over Luv and Puneesh?
No, I don’t think so. I believe, Akash Dadlani, Luv Tyagi and Puneesh Sharma should have been evicted before me, while I still deserve to be inside the house. But what happened was that Luv Tyagi and Shilpa Shinde were declared safe and that got us (Priyank and me) in the bottom two. Then came a twist that the housemates will decide who deserves to stay and who leaves, that’s when the game changed. It definitely came as a shock to me.
Do you blame anyone for getting evicted?
No, not really. I don’t think, I would blame anyone for my eviction from Bigg Boss 11. If you see the nominated people which were Priyank Sharma, Shilpa Shinde, Luv Tyagi and me, it was pretty obvious that who will be bidding adieu to the show, but in the last moment the twist came in and the game changed. None of us predicted this to happen. In the end, if anyone’s vote mattered the most, it has to be Shilpa’s, who voted in favour of Priyank, because Vikas Gupta, Puneesh Sharma and Arshi Khan were in my favour, I’ve never expected Hina Khan and Luv Tyagi to vote for me and of course, Akash Dadlani never existed for me throughout my stay inside the house. So, the deciding vote was to be made by Shilpa, who favoured Priyank instead of me. We can never know with certainty what someone will do until they do it and it certainly came as a surprise to me.
How were you so calm and composed in a house like Bigg Boss?
I have always been calm and composed, that’s my nature. But whenever I had to take a stand or keep my opinions, I have. But one thing I can’t do is fake a fight or yell at the top of my voice for no good reason. I can’t fight for cameras or to seek attention or to make my presence felt inside the house with negative publicity. Also, one can’t keep fighting all the time, right? That too just for the sake of doing it or because you feel ‘chalo aj kuch tufani karte hai’ (Let’s do something). It’s not my thing and that’s not who I am.
What are your thoughts about Hina Khan?
Hina Khan, according to me is someone who says something and does something else. She backbites a lot, not just saying it but heard, seen and now read about it that she does a lot of back bitching. She has even said a lot of things about me behind my back, which I got to know in the house as well as now after coming out of the house. Well, I don’t give much importance to these petty things.
Which five contestants do you see in the finale?
Finale, I really want to see Vikas Gupta. I feel Shilpa Shinde and Hina Khan will make it to the finale and Arshi too for that matter as she is playing really well. In fact, she has not been nominated until now. I honestly, can’t think of one more person from the lot we have now in the house.
Who do you see winning this show, Shilpa Shinde Or Vikas Gupta, Why?
Vikas Gupta should win. Shilpa is making the game pretty obvious for us, unlike Vikas. So, he deserves to win.
Akash Dadlani misbehaves with the women in the house. Your take on that?
I don’t know what’s brewing between Arshi and Akash. If they are comfortable, who are we to say anything. Of course, we are not comfortable watching it but we can’t say anything either. But with Shilpa, he did until she said anything. When she was comfortable with him despite his unpleasant behaviour, we never said anything to Akash but the day when Shilpa raised her voice and said, “No, you can’t behave this way with. I don’t like it,” we told him to stop and he stopped and never repeated it.
Who was your favorite in the house and who is your not-so-favorite?
Everyone was good to me so I like everybody.But if I have to name one, then Vikas is my favourite and not-so-favourite, of course, ‘ek hi ata hai’ (has to be one and only) Akash Daadlani.
Who do you think may get evicted from the in the coming week?
It’s quite difficult to say who will get evicted since the eviction process is quite unpredictable and the twists in the eviction process always take us by surprise. But if I think someone should be evicted, it has to be Akash Dadlani and Luv Tyagi.
What are your future plans?
Well, honestly, there is nothing in my mind as of now. But yes, I definitely want to do ‘Khatron Ke Khiladi’ next year. Also, I am looking forward to taking up some good roles in Bollywood films.
