Salman Khan is all set to return as the host of Big Boss 18. The highly anticipated grand premiere of the popular reality show will take place on October 6, with fresh line of contestants and exciting new theme. The Hindi adaptation of the British show Big Brother has been quite successful among Indians and delivered 18 seasons with different hosts. Arshad Warsi kicked off the first season as the host, followed by Shilpa Shetty in season two and Amitabh Bachchan in season three. However, from season four onwards, Salman Khan took over as the host, and has now became the face of Big Boss.

Premiere time and date

The grand premiere of Big Boss 18 will begin on 9 pm IST on Sunday, October 6, on Colours. The 24/7 live updates will also be accessible to the audience on Jio Cinema.

Some of the names who are reported to be the contestants on Bigg Boss 18 are Nia Sharma, Digvijay Rathee, Akriti Negi, Sameera Reddy, Karan Veer Mehra, Avinash Mishra, Baba Aniruddhacharya, and Shehzada Dhami.

Theme

This time, the makers have introduced a unique theme for this season, called Time Ka Taandav. The tagline read: “Iss baar ghar mein bhuchaal aayega, kyunki Bigg Boss mein Time Ka Taandav chaaeyga! (This time, chaos will strike the house as the wrath of time will reign in Bigg Boss).” In the promo, Salman Khan is seen interacting with AI-generated versions of his past and future selves. A behind-the-scenes clip shared by Colour TV features a voiceover stating, ” Iss baar Bigg Boss jante hain gharwalon ka future (This time Bigg Boss knows the future of the contestants).”

Price money

As per several reports, the winner of Bigg Boss will walk away with Rs 50 lakhs, similar to previous seasons. However, the show is known for introducing special money tasks that can either increase or decrease the amount for contestants.
