Boss 19: The latest episode of Bigg Boss 19’s Weekend Ka Vaar was filled with drama and tension. Salman Khan’s sharp tongue was at it again, as he took a subtle dig at filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap, with whom Salman Khan gave the cult classic Dabangg.
During an interaction with stand-up comedian Ravi Gupta, when Ravi said, “Sir humein bhi thoda content chahaiye hota hai, Salman replied, “Main deta hu naa aapko content, Past mein Weekend Ka Vaar mein maine kaha tha, ‘Work. Nobody is interested.’ Aaj phir poochhta hoon, brother, kaam mila? Aise aise kaam karke sabke baare mein bura bolte ho. Yeh hai intelligence ka aakhri star. Jin logon ka naam tu le raha hai, wo tere saath ab phir se kaam nahi karenge. Humne tujhe dusra film offer kiya tha, par tune mana kar diya.
Salman continued, “Mujhe badha dukkh hota hai ki tune apni hi duniya kharab kar li. Agar kisi ko badhaane ka mann hai, toh apne ghar se shuru karo. Apne bhai, maa-baap, wife aur bachon se pyaar karo. Yeh hai sabse zaruri baat. Agar log tujhe salaah dete hain ki aaram se baat kar, to woh tere bhalai ke liye hi karte hain. Tu ek talented aadmi hai, mat ja wo lane mein. Teri madad khud Bhagwan karega.” The conversation between the two ended when Ravi said, “Koi nahi sir, iske baad ek aur interview aa jayega.”
Filmmaker Abhinav Kashyap has been openly critical of Salman Khan and his family, accusing them of exerting undue influence in Bollywood and sabotaging his career. He’s labeled Salman a “gunda” (goon) and alleged that he hasn’t been truly invested in acting for years, rather riding on celebrity status. Kashyap also claimed that the Khan family acts vindictively, controlling industry dynamics and retaliating against those who don’t fall in line.
After the week’s tension, the spotlight has shifted to the behind-the-scenes drama. Salman’s public pushback raises questions about how the feud will unfold, and whether Kashyap or his critics will respond next.
