Dulquer Salmaan, Irrfan Khan and Mithila Palkar starrer ‘Karwaan‘ is one of the much-awaited films to release this year. The makers of the film dropped the trailer on June 27, 2018, and fans can’t keep calm. In an interview with Mumbai Mirror, Dulquer shared the experience of working with Irrfan Khan. Dulquer, who is a huge fan of the actor, told the leading daily, “I’m a huge fan and he was amazing to work with,” further adding, “Whenever I’ve collaborated with seniors, including Mani sir (director Mani Ratnam), I’ve noticed that they are always on the lookout for the next magical script. Dulquer is currently shooting in the US for a new film. Meanwhile, Irrfan Khan is currently undergoing treatment in the US for a serious and rare cancer, called Neuro Endocrine tumour. Talking about it, Dulquer told the daily, “I was shocked when I learnt that Irrfan sir was diagnosed with Neuro Endocrine tumour. Though they have not been in touch since wrapping up the film, Dulquer’s optimistic that Irrfan will recuperate well and do a lot more work. Bankrolled by Ronnie Screwvala’s creative production house RSVP in association with Ishka films, Karwaan, that also features Mithila Palkar in lead role, is slated to hit the screens on August 3. Dulquer plays the character Avinash in the film, who is forced to take a trip from Bangalore to Kochi to claim his father’s body. Speaking of what made him say yes to Karwaan, Dulquer said the script is what matters to me.
The actor further added, “During the narration, the story and character resonated with me. It’s a slice-oflife film and I gravitate towards such projects as that’s what I’d want to watch too. I don’t follow any strategy, for me the script is the real hero irrespective of the language.” Watch this space for further updates.
