The first look of actress Alia Bhatt from her upcoming film Kalank is out. The makers revealed the character poster of Alia on the occasion of International Women’s Day. Dressed as a beautiful bride, Alia will remind you of Aishwarya Rai‘s royal character Jodha on the poster. The actress has been named as Roop in the film and is someone who ‘fears nothing, but is bounded by love’. At least that’s how her co-star Sonakshi Sinha has described her on social media.

Revealing the poster, Sonakshi wrote, “Free, bound only by love! This is Roop!” while Madhuri Dixit described Roop as “She’s full of life and has a heart of gold.” Here’s the poster:

Alia shared the first look of her character from Kalank by writing, “Here she is. Roop ♥️ #WomenOfKalank #Kalank” (sic)

The actress has been paired with Varun Dhawan in the film. This is the fourth film in which the two actors have been paired opposite each other. Their previous collaborations – Student Of The Year, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania, were successful at the Box Office.

Earlier, Varun’s character poster was revealed. The actor plays the character of Zafar in the film and his look on the poster promises an intense, no-nonsense character. Check this out:

The other men of Kalank are Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur. The posters of both the actors from the film which were revealed recently promised an edginess in their characters. While Sanjay plays the role of Balraj Chaudhary, Aditya’s name in the film Dev. See these:

The introductory posters of Madhuri Dixit and Sonakshi Sinha are yet to be revealed. Meanwhile, Kalank, which is to hitting the screens on April 19, is set in the 40s, at the time of Independence. The story of the film was conceived by Karan Johar‘s father, late Yash Johar. While announcing the film, Karan had mentioned how he is trying to move ahead with something that his father thought of and left, years back. It’s directed by Abhishek Varman and produced by Dharma Productions.
