Television star Ankita Lokhande is all set to make her big Bollywood debut with Manikarnika: The Queen Of Jhansi with Kangana Ranaut. The actor has always been in the news for her relationship with ex-boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. She has revealed in many interviews that they are friends and that they appreciate each other’s work. Recently, Ankita revealed that she does not mind working with Sushant if she gets a good script. In a recent interview with Times of India, Ankita was asked if she will mind working with Sushant and the actor responded by saying that she does not mind. She said, “As an actor, I have no choice. If the script is good I will definitely work with him.” Ankita has been a successful television actor before entering Bollywood. She played the lead in the daily soap Pavitra Rishta along with Sushant. Differentiating television and Bollywood, the actor further said, “The only thing that has changed for me is the camera. Everything else is the same. Hard work toh shayad TV par zyaada tha. We used to shoot daily with no time limits. I have worked for 128 hours (a week) continuously for TV. Manikarnika is a biopic on the life of one of the most celebrated female Indian warrior, Queen of Jhansi, Rani Laxmibai which is played by Kangana. The trailer opens by introducing Manikarnika as the fearless woman who’s also equally beautiful and vulnerable. She has the ability to woo anyone with both her strength and beauty. Ankita, who rose to fame with her debut daily soap Pavitra Rishta, is playing Jhalkaribai, a warrior in Rani Laxmibai’s army.
The trailer also gives a glimpse of the other important characters in the film, Ankita and Danny Denzongpa, who appear all sharp and powerful in their roles. The movie will release on January 25.
