Anupam Kher, who will soon be seen playing the role of former Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Vijay Gutte’s The Accidental Prime Minister, recently shared a picture of actors Arjun Mathur and Aahana Kumra who play Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in the film. In the picture shared by the veteran actor, we can see Anupam Kher (playing Singh) having a conversation with Ahana (Priyanka Gandhi). The picture also had Arjun (Rahul Gandhi) who was looking at Ahana (Priyanka). In an interview with the indianexpress.com, Ahana had mentioned that “I am beyond excited to play this role. Anupam Kher shared the picture on Twitter and captioned it, “Introducing @arjun__mathur as #ShriRahulGandhi and @aahanakumra as #MsPriyankaGandhi.🙏#The AccidentalPrimeMinister @tapmofficial #2004 #OathCeremony #VijayGutte @sunil_s_bohra.” Kher had earlier shared more first-look pictures where he was seen with actors Divya Seth Shah and Ram Avatar Bhardawaj who play Manmohan Singh’s wife Gursharan Kaur and Atal Bihari Vajpayee, respectively. When asked by IANS, Kher talked about how he prepared for the role and said, “The opportunity of portraying a contemporary personality like Dr Manmohan Singh in The Accidental Prime Minister is an immense challenge for me as an actor. He is part of a 24/7 media era where world knows his persona minutely. I have been internalising this character for the past few months.
