On the work front, Arjun is currently shooting for Ashutosh Gowarikar’s Panipat: The Great Betrayal. A report in DNA had revealed earlier that Arjun plays the character of Maratha leader Sadashivrao Bhau in Panipat: The Great Betrayal, while Sanjay Dutt plays the main antagonist, Ahmad Shah Durrani. A part of the report read, “The film is about the third battle of Panipat which was fought between Marathas and Afghans in 1761. Arjun plays the Maratha army’s leader Sadashivrao Bhau, whereas Sanjay will essay the main antagonist — Ahmad Shah Durrani, who led the Afghans to victory”. Panipat also features Kriti Sanon, who plays the role of the second wife to Arjun’s Sadashivrao Bhau. The actress is reportedly essaying the role of Parvatibai, who supported her husband at many crucial points in the battle.
