In an interview with ES, there were many things that she said that was both inspiring and touching. The actor talked about how she was exposed to sexism and was asked to get a boob job. She said, “There were lots of things I was advised to do. To get a boob job, do the beauty pageants. They felt it was the right way to be recognised or picked up by a Bollywood director or producer. It might be an easier way to achieve what you want to achieve. When asked if she had ever contemplated suicide, she replied by saying, “When depression goes undetected, it makes you suicidal. I think I’ve been fortunate to have had it detected early on in my life so it didn’t get to that stage. But you can’t separate them from one another; it’s all in the same family.” On the work front, Deepika was last seen in Sanjay Leela Bhansali Padmavat which released earlier this year and in the year 2017, she had released her first Hollywood film, xXx: Return of Xander Cage, where she was seen opposite Vin Diesel.
