The festival of Gudi Padwa is celebrated in India on April 6. It is widely celebrated in Maharashtra and Goa marking the arrival of Spring and new year. Bollywood celebs like Amitabh Bachchan, Arjun Kapoor, Aamir Khan, Asha Bhosle and others welcomed the new year by celebrating it with their families and even took to their social media to wish their fans and followers.

Amitabh Bachchan who never fails to wish his fans on social media during any festival, once again took to his Twitter to write, “T 3144 – TODAY : Ugadi, Gudi Padwa, Chaitra Navratri, Sajibu Nongma Panba Cheiraoba, Cheti Chand, Navreh, Poila Boishakh, Bihu Hindu New year Vikram Samvat 2076 , 6 Apr 2019 GREETINGS & FESTIVITIES OF ALL FOR ALL ; THE FABRIC OF OUR DIVERSITY, OUR GREAT NATION.” Veteran singer Asha Bhosle shared a picture of herself in a gorgeous saree and nath. Aamir Khan shared a photo with his wife where he could be seen in a pagri and white kurta while his wife donned a white floral saree.
