The buzz has it that actor Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium 2 is soon going on floors with its new cast. As per a report in an entertainment website, actress Radhika Madan will be seen playing the character of Irrfan’s teenage daughter in the film. The shooting of Hindi Medium 2 was expected to begin in August last year. However, Irrfan’s treatment in the US caused a delay. Now, the rumours are rife that the actor has indeed returned to India and is gearing up to be in front of the cameras soon.

PeepingMoon reported that Radhika has given her nod to be a part of the film, which will be helmed by Homi Adjania. The director of the prequel, Saket Choudhary is currently busy filming for Sajid Nadiadwala. Therefore, Adjania, who has directed films like Finding Fanny (2014) and Cocktail (2012) in the past, will be taking care of part two of the hit film.

The report also says that while Irrfan will reprise his old character, a rich businessman named Raj Batra, Pakistani actress Saba Qamar will not be seen sharing the screen space with him this time. The leading female face for the film is yet to be decided by the makers.

Further, another report by the website reveals that Irrfan is being treated for his illness at Mumbai’s Kokilaben Dhiru Bhai Ambani Hospital. Pinkvilla has reported that with Irrfan’s return, the work on Hindi Medium has begun with full force. According to the sources of the website, the designers are already on a hunt to choose costumes for Irrfan’s character and the film is expected to go on floors from February 22. Meanwhile, the actor is expected to visit his hometown, Tonk, in Jaipur soon.
