Janhvi Kapoor has made her first debut in Dhadak opposite Ishaan Khattar that will soon hit theatres. Janhvi believes that being Sridevi’s daughter, she does not feel the weight of expectations and hopes to earn the same amount of love and respect from the audience like her mother did. During an interview with news agency PTI, the actor said, “I’m aware of it (the legacy) but I don’t think there’s a fear. I feel like mom has earned and got so much love, gratitude and adulation from people. There’s a lot of gratitude I feel towards that, which even she felt. I want to make them happy. I want to earn the same kind of love.” Janvi is ready to work hard and that she can sense certain responsibilities that she as an actor has towards the audience. “I know I’ve to work for it, I want to. I feel there’s a responsibility towards them (audience). I want to make them happy. They’ve given my mom so much, my mom has given them so much, I want to earn it. I will, hopefully,” she added. Sridevi never forced her acting skills on Janhvi and let her be the way she wanted to. Janvi said that there were times when she would read her lines with her mother around but not once did Sridevi interfere. In fact, her mother wanted her to do it on her own. She had even asked her mother to not come to the sets. Janhvi went on to say that, coming from a film family has taught her a lot about the industry.”It has helped me in a way that I understand mom’s creative space, how to read situations in movies, what she considered good acting or bad acting. So, that has formed opinions for me as well,” Says Janhvi. “Dad (Boney Kapoor) is a producer so I know what it’s like for producers to deal with actors, be professional and respectful… Everything else that goes into filmmaking. It’s made me more aware,” she added. Also Read - Day 1 of Largest Vaccination Drive Ends as Over 1.9 Frontline Workers Get First Jabs | 10 Points
