Kader Khan Was Upset 'Nobody From The Industry Came to Take Care of Him', Says Family Friend Fauzia Arshi
Kader Khan's filmmaker friend talks about his ill health and says that he was upset nobody from the film industry came to visit him
Kader Khan is being treated for breathlessness in Canada. Earlier today, on December 31st, his son Sarfaraz talked to the media and rubbished the rumours of him passing away last night. Now, a close friend of Khan and the producer-director of his last release, Hogaya Dimaagh Ka Dahi (2015), Fauzia Arshi, has spoken her mind on the actor's health status.
Fauzia talked to Dainik Bhaskar and revealed that Kader Khan had been upset with his industry colleagues. She mentioned that the actor always used to wonder why nobody from the industry visited to ask him about his health. The report in the daily quoted Fauzia saying, "...However, when he fell ill he couldn't digest the fact that nobody from the industry turned up to take care of him or even show support. He told me, 'Nobody even came to see me'. I just hope that he gets a speedy recovery".
She also mentioned that one of the other reasons behind Khan's deteriorating health was his distance from the world of movies. She said that the actor used to 'breathe cinema' and when the offers stopped coming to him, he couldn't come to terms with it. She said, "First he became wheel-chair bound; age started catching up and the distance between him and movies went on increasing. He is an actor who lived on films. He used to breathe movies and it is this distance that he couldn't take".
She further added, "He had once told me that he wanted to remake his old film Shama (1981) which he produced. We were on talks on the same. He told me that apart from that he had written a couple of scripts and I told him that I will support him to fulfill his dream".
Talking about Khan's death rumours, his son told PTI, "It is all a lie. It (is) just a rumour. My father is in the hospital". We wish Kader Khan a speedy recovery!
