A few days back, Alia Bhatt reacted to the statement Kangana Ranaut made against her performance in Gully Boy. And now, Alia’s co-star from Highway, Randeep Hooda, seems to have got something to add to that entire issue. In his latest tweet, without naming Kangana, Randeep supported Alia and praised her for not letting any opinion affect her work and choices. He wished Alia best for continuing to be her own competition. Also Read - Kangana Ranaut Takes Dig at Taapsee Pannu's 'Not So Sasti' Tweet Over Tax Invasion Case, Calls Her 'Rapists Ka Feminist'

Randeep’s tweet read, “Dearest @aliaa08 I’m so glad you are not letting the opinions of very occasional actors and chronic victims affect you and your work .. kudos to you for your continued efforts to outdo yourself 🤗” (sic) Also Read - Ranbir Kapoor-Alia Bhatt Pose in Front of Goddess Kali on Brahmastra-Sets, Ayan Mukerji Joins in

The ‘occasional actor’ in Randeep’s tweet could very well be Kangana Ranaut since she called Alia’s performance as Safeena in Gully Boy ‘mediocre’. When an entertainment portal informed the Manikarnika star that she has defeated Alia’s Gully Boy performance in its audience poll, Kangana said there’s nothing to beat in Alia’s performance and one should just spare her the embarrassment by not comparing her performance in Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi with that of Alia’s.

Later, at an event, when Alia was asked to comment on Kangana’s statement, the Kalank star simply said that she respects Kangana’s work a lot and will work hard to make sure she performs better next time. Alia was quoted by Bollywood Hungama saying, “I would rather remember how much she had praised me after watching Raazi. And I’d just like to focus on my work.”

Kangana had also slammed Alia for not supporting her during the release of her films after ‘shamelessly’ asking her to attend film screenings. In response to the same, Alia had maintained that she respects Kangana’s opinion and appreciates her work, and if she has done anything to upset her, she would apologise to her personally.
