Actor Kangana Ranaut’s sister and spokesperson Rangoli Chandel released a series of tweets against Alia Bhatt and her latest statement on Rangoli’s claim that Mahesh Bhatt threw a slipper at Kangana in the past. Alia said in her latest media interaction that she would like to maintain peace by staying silent on the matter. She said my stand is that ‘main chup rahugi.‘ Now, Rangoli has questioned Alia for her statement on the issue. Lashing out at the Kalank actor, she alleged that Alia doesn’t have anything to say at all and therefore, she’s silent on the issue. She also accused the actor of taking advantage of her connections and ‘begging’ in front of people to ask them to cast her in films. One of Rangoli’s tweets reads, “Snatching others work and opportunities everyday, begging and pleading makers to cast, playing games and using connections to grab films doing back hand PR and on surface behaving like a sheep , as if people are idiots not to see through this…” (sic) Also Read - Javed Akhtar Defamation Case: Mumbai Court Issues Bailable Warrant Against Kangana Ranaut After She Failed to Appear Before Court

She also said that people aren’t stupid to fall for Alia’s plans when she narrates her ‘sob story’. She wrote, “People arnt stupid, they see who stands alone and where is gang of movie mafia, in this time and age honesty and transparency is most valued so keep your medieval age ‘ Main chup rahoongi’ sob story to yourself, no need to make this viral everyday… 🤚🏼” (sic)

In another tweet, Rangoli said Alia’s ‘main chup rahugi‘ statement is also regressive in the time when women are being encouraged to speak up against injustice. She wrote, “While whole world propagating speak up or me too Alia ji is going ‘ main chup rahoongi aur zulm sahoongi 😂 How regressive is that, coming from a British girl sounds strange 😜, if you take a leaf from Papa Jo’s book obviously it will be melodramatic 😂” (sic)

The entire issue began when Kangana called Alia’s performance in Gully Boy ‘mediocre.’ When an entertainment portal informed Kangana that she has emerged as the winner in their poll by defeating Alia’s performance in Gully Boy, Kangana hit back saying ‘don’t embarrass me’. She said there was nothing to beat in the actor’s performance in Gully Boy and one should not encourage a mediocre talent otherwise the bar will never go up.
