Luka Chuppi First Poster Out: Kartik Aaryan-Kriti Sanon Hold in The Secret Before Trailer Out Tomorrow
The duo's crackling chemistry will hit the screens on March 1
Amping up the buzz of sharing screen space for the first time, Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon are all set to let the cat out of the bag as they reveal the first poster of their upcoming movie, Luka Chuppi. In the shared poster, Kartik and Kriti are seen holding each other with one hand while keeping a finger on each others lips, as if in an attempt to stop the other from revealing some secret. While Aryan is seen donning an olive green T-shirt and has a wedding turban in his hand, Kriti is seen wearing a rust-coloured kurti, paired with an antique jhumki and holding a garland in her hand.

Presenting the first poster of #LukaChuppi Trailer Out Tomorrow @kritisanon #DineshVijan @MaddockFilms @PVijan @sharadakarki @laxman.utekar #PankajTripathi @aparshakti_khurana #VinayPathak @tseries.official @officialjiocinema” (sic).
The film marks the directorial debut of Laxman Utekar. Laxman has earlier worked as a DoP on Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium and has prior cinematography experience in films like Blue, Dear Zindagi and English Vinglish. The movie, that also stars Aparshakti Khurrana and Pankaj Tripathi, is a desi rom-com that will take the audience from Mathura to Gwalior and Agra. While Kartik essays the role of a star reporter from a local TV channel, Kriti plays the character of a Mathura girl who is back in her hometown after studying in Delhi for some time.
Spilling beans about the characterisation, producer Dinesh Vijan had said earlier, “Kartik plays the star reporter of a local TV channel in Mathura. We had toyed with the title Mathura Live before settling for a game of hide-and-seek. While Kartik is the quintessential good boy every girl wants to take home to mamma, Kriti represents today’s youth who advocate gender equality and have their own ideology.”
The duo’s crackling chemistry will hit the screens on March 1, where it will lock the horns with Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s Son Chiriya.
