The film marks the directorial debut of Laxman Utekar. Laxman has earlier worked as a DoP on Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium and has prior cinematography experience in films like Blue, Dear Zindagi and English Vinglish. The movie, that also stars Aparshakti Khurrana and Pankaj Tripathi, is a desi rom-com that will take the audience from Mathura to Gwalior and Agra. While Kartik essays the role of a star reporter from a local TV channel, Kriti plays the character of a Mathura girl who is back in her hometown after studying in Delhi for some time.

The duo’s crackling chemistry will hit the screens on March 1, where it will lock the horns with Sushant Singh Rajput and Bhumi Pednekar’s Son Chiriya.
