Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi featuring actress Kangana Ranaut is performing well at the box office but the storm surrounding it refuses to die. After filmmaker Krish called her the real reason of his abrupt exit from the movie, writer Apurva Asrani has also attacked the lady. In a series of tweets, he extended support to Krish and revealed that the actress asked him to delete dialogues from Simran as well. Pooja Bhatt has also reacted to the whole matter. It seems like the controversy is not going to end anytime soon. Also Read - Defamation Case Filed By Javed Akhtar: Kangana Ranaut Reacts After Mumbai Police Summons Her
Apurva shared the clip of Krish’s interview and wrote, “Whats going to hurt more brother Krish is that she will run a vicious smear campaign to destroy your credibility. And worse, a large section of the media, esp the pseudo feminists, will ignore your story like they did when Ketan Mehta & then I claimed she hijacked our films. Sad.” Also Read - Sushant Day: Kangana Ranaut Launches Attack on Karan Johar, YRF, Mahesh Bhatt, Says 'I Regret Not Being There For You'
He further wrote, “This is painful, yet cathartic. I wrote #Simran with a passion similar to the man in the video. But an insecure #KanganaRanaut started deleting other actors lines on set & made it about her. Pooja also tweeted about it and wrote, “This is not the industry I was born to and not the industry I wish to inherit. Eventually it is credit we work for… money comes & money goes… the first rule of filmmaking is to acknowledge people’s contribution.”
In his interview, Krish revealed that the ouster of Sonu Sood happened just to satisfy Kangana’s ego. He wondered how the actress could sleep well after taking the first credit in direction without being deserving.
On a related note, the movie also features Ankita Lokhande, Danny Dengzopa, Jisshu Sengupta and Atul Kulkarni. It is bankrolled by Zee Studios in association with Kamal Jain & Nishant Pitti.
