Manmarziyaan, directed by Anurag Kashyap, has been into buzz since the trailer of the film was released. Yesterday, on September 7, the director hosted a screening of the film in Mumbai and several actors, who have worked with Kashyap in the past, were present there. One such attendee was his ex-wife and actress Kalki Koechlin.
Both of them continue to share a warm equation and the proof of the same is Kashyap greeting Kalki with a tight hug at the screening. The duo was all smiles and also posed for the shutterbugs.
Kalki was dressed in a monochrome saree and looked radiant in a new hairstyle. On the other hand, Kashyap was dressed in his casual best, sporting a black tee and a pair of blue denim.
Among the other attendees were Mukkabaaz actor Vineet Kumar Singh and actress Huma Qureshi. The star cast of the film – Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Abhishek Bachchan were missing from the scene though. The team, along with Aanand L Rai and writer Kanika Dhillon, are on a musical tour to promote the film.
This is the first time Abhishek has collaborated with Taapsee and Vicky for a project. It is after two years that AB junior is making his comeback to films, with Manmarziyaan, which is releasing on September 13.
On the professional front, Anurag Kashyap is busy with the promotions of the film while Kalki will next be seen in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy, alongside Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt. The film is slated to release on February 14, 2019.
