Nana Patekar-Tanushree Dutta sexual harassment case update: Actor refuses to talk to the media in detail, says the truth remains the same

Nana Patekar talked to a few selected journalist in Mumbai about the sexual allegations made against him by Tanushree Dutta. The actor, citing that his lawyer has advised him to not talk to the press in detail, said that he hasn’t got anything new to add in the matter. He maintained that his truth remains the same. “Kal jo sach tha vo aaj sach hai vo kal bhi sach rahega“, (the truth is what it was 10 years back) said, Nana.

The actor folded his hands in front of the journalists and mentioned he is not allowed to talk to the media now since there’s a legal case involved. This was for the first time Nana met the media after Tanushree alleged that he harassed her sexually on the sets of his film Horn ‘OK’ Pleasss in 2008. The former actress alleged that Nana added some inappropriate dance steps in the choreography of the song she was supposed to perform for the film. The actress added that she walked out of the sets furiously after seeing that nobody from the film’s team came to her rescue even when she complained about the incident to the producer.

Nana had organised a press conference back in 2008 as well when the allegations were first made by the actress. In the conference, he denied the allegations and said, “Unko replace kyu kiya gaya, mujhe nahi malum tha… mera kaam tha stage par. Maine vahan kya badtamazi ki, mujhe ganda lag raha hai ki mujhe safai deni pad rahi hai. Main kisi ko bhi milne vala nahi tha, par film ki team ne request kiya. Bachi ko samajhna chahye ki kya bolna chahye. Mere industry me dost bahot kam hao, lekin dushman koi nahi hai. Mera koi sambandh nahi hai usce, main rehearsal karuga to set par karuga. Pure gaane me unhe mujhe chhuna hai, maine nahi. Humne itne barson me bas izzat kamai hai. Aisi koi baat nahi hui hai jiska vo ilzaam laga rahi hai…”
