The trailer of Soni Razdan starrer No Fathers In Kashmir is here and it is quite hard-hitting. The film attempts to showcase the state sans its beauty. It’s the troublesome Kashmir, the state in which families have lost their members to terrorism, that No Fathers In Kashmir wants to focus on. The trailer features two teenagers – Noor and Majid. Noor, a British Kashmiri lost her father in the state. When she comes back in search of her father, Majid helps him but the boy himself goes missing owing to the turbulent situations in the state. During their journey, both Noor and Majid encounter several hidden secrets and situations that scare the people of Kashmir. The film digs deeper into Kashmir’s reality and does it through the eyes of two youngsters. Also Read - Luviena Lodh Reacts to Mukesh-Mahesh Bhatt's Defamation Suit, Shares New Video on Social Media

No Fathers In Kashmir has been stuck with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) for very long. At the trailer launch event, filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, who’s also the husband of actress Soni Razdan, called out the board for not passing the film. He said, “It’s a tragedy that a film like No Fathers In Kashmir, a filmmaker who puts his film together and run from pillar to post begged people to get it through. In this age and time, is there anything called censorship? I have the audacity to look at the truth, the greatest epic which mankind has been blessed with, the Mahabharata came from the battle of Kurukshetra, in that moment of darkness, he who locks the eyes with the darkness discovers a life which Aswin has discovered.”
Directed by two times National Award winner and the Oscar-nominated Ashvin Kumar, No Fathers In Kashmir is slated to release on April 5.
