Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, the newly engaged couple are about to tie the knot soon. Rumours suggest that the duo might get married on Nick’s 26th birthday on September 16 while others speculate that their big fat Indian wedding might take place in October. According to the reports, Priyanka and Nick are planning to get married in Hawaii.
A source close to the couple has revealed that Nick and Priyanka wants an intimate wedding away from the paparazzi’s attention. The source also said that the wedding will take place in Hawaii as the islands of Hawaii are very special for Nick as he has shot Hawaii Five-0 and Jumanji there.
However, Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra has rubbished all the rumours that are doing rounds about their wedding date and destination.
Madhu spoke to a leading daily and said, “They haven’t decided on a wedding date yet. It’s too soon. These are just baseless rumours. Both of them have work commitments right now which they need to finish. They will take some time to decide where they want it and when they want it.”
She further spoke about the Roka ceremony and said, “My daughter knew I wanted a Roka before the marriage, so she never said ‘no’. I haven’t forced any of my thoughts on her, but I definitely want a traditional Indian wedding. That’s my only wish. I started the Roka with a puja, which is important to me. I’m a modern mother but at heart, I’m quite conservative.”
The rumours of the couple dating started surfacing back in 2017 when the two appeared together at the red carpet of Met Gala.
On the work front, Priyanka has started working on her next, The Sky is Pink.
