In the unfortunate Pulwama terror attack where a suicide bomber attacked a CRPF bus resulting in the death of at least 40 brave-hearts, an angry nation demands revenge against Pakistan as the neighbour country-based Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) claimed responsibility for the horror and released a video clip of the suicide bomber. The citizens and celebrities from the Bollywood film fraternity are coming forward to stand in solidarity with, and support the families of the martyred jawans. While Manikarnika actress Kangana Ranaut cancelled the success party of her film, veteran actor Shabana Azmi turned down an invitation by the Karachi Arts Council following the attack, all to stand in solidarity with India and the men who were martyred. However, Shabana was called ‘anti-national’ by Kangana for accepting an invite from Pakistan in the first place.

Reacting to Kangana’s over-sentimental accusation, Shabana told a leading news organisation, “You really think at a time like this a personal attack on me can be of any significance when the entire country stands as one in our grief and in condemning this dastardly Pulwama attack? May God bless her.”

Pinkvilla reported that during an interaction with the Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi actress, she said, “People like Shabana Aazmi calling for halt on cultural exchange, they are the ones who promote Bharat tere Tukade honge gangs…. why did they organise an event in Karachi in the first place when Pakistani artists have been banned after Uri attacks and now they are trying to save face. Film industry is full of such anti-nationals who boost enemies morals in many ways but right now is the time to focus on decisive actions…. Pakistan ban is not the focus, Pakistan destruction is.”

Shabana had earlier tweeted on the attack and clearly stated that there can in no way be a cultural exchange between India and Pakistan.
