Actor Ranveer Singh, who is all excited for his upcoming film ’83 and is currently shooting for the same has managed to scoop some time out of his schedule to meet the veteran former England footballer Alan Shearer. Taking to Instagram today, he has posted a picture where he can be seen laughing his heart out with the footballer. In the photo, the Gully Boy actor can be seen clad in a white jersey teamed up with a cap and tinted shades while Alan can be seen sporting a blue jersey. Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika and Ranveer will be seen together sharing the screen in ’83. Speaking of the film, it is directed by Kabir Khan and essays former India skipper Kapil Dev’s captaincy in leading the Indian cricket team to victory against the West Indies in the World Cup final in 1983. Ranveer will essay Kapil’s role in the film. Deepika will be playing the role of Ranveer’s on-screen wife. It was in 1983 that Indian cricket captain Kapil Dev had led the team to lift the World Cup trophy by defeating the champion team West Indies. There’s a lot of buzz around the film because, for many who were not even born then to experience that moment, ’83 movie is like history repeating itself for them to cherish.

The movie is being co-produced by Madhu Mantena, Sajid Nadiadwala, and Reliance Entertainment. Helmed by Kabir Khan, the movie is slated for release on April 10.
