Ranveer Singh is riding high on the success of his last release Gully Boy. The film has been highly applauded and also did wonders at the Box Office. The actor is currently gearing up for his next film ’83. Latest reports suggest that Ranveer will be starring with Miss World Manushi Chhillar in Yash Raj Films next venture. Bollywood Hungama quoted a source as saying, “Yes Ranveer Singh and Manushi Chhillar have been cast for the film that will be directed by Maneesh Sharma. However, given the fact that Ranveer is very busy, and also the fact that Manushi will be making her debut in Farah Khan’s film, this venture will go on floors much later”. The source went on to reveal that Manushi will be making her Bollywood debut with Farah Khan’s film, produced by Rohit Shetty. Talking about the project, the source said, “Right now it is still very early to talk about the details of the project, but since Yash Raj Films will be producing the venture with Maneesh at the helm, we can certainly expect something larger than life”.
Ranveer Singh has been training under cricketers Balwinder Singh Sandhu and Kapil Dev. Ranveer in the film will be playing the role of legendary Indian skipper Kapil Dev, who led the cricket team in the 1983 world cup tournament. Ranveer is currently learning the famous ‘Natraj shot’ of Kapil Dev. A recent video of the actor doing the same recently took the internet by storm.
Sharing the video on his Instagram he captioned it, “Workin’ the #NatrajShot 🏏with the Man Himself #KapilDev 👑 @83thefilm #blessed #journeybegins @kabirkhankk”(sic).
Directed by Kabir Khan, ’83 is the story of India’s first cricket world cup win. The film is slated to hit the screens on April 10, 2020.
