Richa Chadha To Play The Role Of Malayalam Adult Film Actor Shakeela In Her Biopic, Real Meets Reel In Bengaluru

Bollywood actor Richa Chadha, who is known for doing films very different from the mainstream Indian films is all set to play the role of an adult film star from the south Shakeela. Shakeela became famous overnight after her debut film Playgirls alongside Silk Smitha. Seeing her role in the film, many directors and producers of the southern film industry were impressed with her work. In such a short span of time, the actor managed to gain so much attention and popularity. She rose in the time when the industry was dominated by the male population.

Richa has always experimented with different roles and has often done justice to the roles she plays. Richa was the ultimate choice of the makers of Shakeela’s biopic. Other actors like Huma Qureshi and Swara Bhaskar were also in the running but the Masaan actor won the title. Recently Richa met the real Shakeela during a meet and greet session in Bengaluru. Shakeela shared all about her with Richa and both the real and reel Shakeela had a great time.

Directed by Indrajit Lankesh, the shoot of the film will reportedly begin in August. It has also been reported Richa is currently learning Malayalam for the character that she will be playing. Shakeela is an actor and a glamour model who has been in the industry since the age of 20 and is known for her ‘B-grade’ movies. One of her greatest hit was Kinnarathumbikal in Malayalam for which she gained fame. Fans are now looking forward to seeing Richa in a new avatar.
