SS Rajamouli‘s upcoming film, titled RRR, features Ajay Devgn and Alia Bhatt in important roles. As reported by a daily, while Ajay plays the character of a freedom fighter, Alia’s character is pivotal to the journey of Ram Charan‘s character in the film. The film, as revealed at the press conference recently, is a fictional drama based on two freedom fighters from South India. The daily has also reported that even the film is based in the pre-independence era, it’s not a patriotic film but traces the journey of the two freedom fighters in the lead. The daily quoted the source saying, “The film’s story chronicles the period of the duo’s disappearance. As there are only speculations around what they did during that time, Rajamouli has used it to present his own, fictitious version – how they met, influenced each other’s decision as well as their future, and more important, the clash of egos that ensued.” Also Read - Deepika Padukone Birthday Party Photos: Ananya Panday, Ishaan Khatter, Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Karan Johar, Others Attend Actor’s Bash

Further, the daily has revealed that RRR is based in Delhi and Hyderabad and the team is yet to begin the shoot in North India soon. Considering Rajamouli is a big fan of larger-than-life cinematic experience, he recently shot a huge action sequence with Ram Charan and Jr NTR that included the former fighting many goons outside a police station.

RRR is slated to hit the screens during Bakir-Eid 2020 weekend in languages Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
