There is no leading lady in Tinseltown whose most sought after co-star in Bollywood is not Salman Khan. Having worked with almost every A-list heroine in the industry, mainstream cinema’s biggest star is yet to work with actress Deepika Padukone. When quizzed about the same in a recent interview with DNA, Salman said humourously, “Actually even I’m wondering when will I work with Deepika?” On being further probed, he added, “No one has come forward to cast me with her. Deepika is a big star, so it has to be worth her while to do a film with me. Right now, there is nothing.” Also Read - Bigg Boss 14: Rubina Dilaik Slams Pavitra Punia For Having Reality Show Background, Says 'She Knows The Craft'

Salman was then asked to list down his upcoming releases and he revealed, “In Bharat, Katrina Kaif is my heroine. She will also be my leading lady in the third part of the Tiger series. In Dabangg 3, there’s Sonakshi Sinha. In Sajid Nadiadwala’s Kick 2, I’m paired with Jacqueline Fernandez. This statement also cleared the rumours regarding the Kick franchise being shelved. On the other hand, Salman is yet again launching two actors in the movie business – Pranutan Bahl, daughter of actor Mohnish Bahl and Zaheer Iqbal, son of Salman’s dear family friend. The two are debuting in the industry with Notebook, which hits the theatres this week. While this is not the first time Salman is seen making his production house a launchpad for debutants, he said that he doesn’t want to be launching the kids of all his friends.

On the work front, he also has Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film titled Inshallah with Alia Bhatt after Dabangg 3. The announcement regarding the same was made recently and reportedly, it’s a love story set in abroad. Inshallah brings Salman and Bhansali back together after a hiatus of 20 years after Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam.
