Salman Khan’s latest release Race 3, directed by Remo D’souza has done fairly well in the box office but was slammed by many critics. After making such a blunder, the makers of Remo’s next dance film featuring Varun Dhawan and Katrina Kaif were very keen on cutting down the film’s budget. Yes, Salman Khan’s Race 3 has affected Katrina’s next with Jr Dhawan. A source revealed to Mid-Day that T-Series had a meeting with Remo last week to discuss the revised cost. The source was quoted saying. “The budget was pegged at Rs 100 crore. After Race 3, Remo knows the amount of hard work that goes into making a 3D film. So when the producers urged him to reduce the production cost, Remo didn’t budge. He’s sure that with stars like Varun and Katrina, the film will make a profit. Race 3 had received a good amount of criticism from a section of the audience. Memes were flooded in social media and received very poor reviews. The film that did great in single screens failed to receive the same collection in multiplexes. There were jokes on almost everything in the film from screenplay to acting to music. Talking about Katrina and Varun’s film, we hear the film will go on floors in December this year and a majority of the film will be shot in London. The two-month long schedule will be followed by a short one in Mumbai that will last for 10 days. The yet-to-be-titled dance film is all set to hit theatres on November 8, 2019.
