Dancer and choreographer Salman Yusuff Khan has denied the sexual harassment allegations against him. The Dance India Dance Season 1 winner took to Instagram to gave clarification on the matter. The dancer said that the complaint is nothing but a way to extort money from him. A sexual harassment complaint was filed against Salman at Mumbai’s Oshiwara Police Station after which the investigation in the case began. As per reports, the complainant is also a dancer and alleged that Salman touched her inappropriately in a car. She reportedly alleged that his manager called her in August last year while she was in London. She said Salman had offered her to work with him and perform at Bollywood Parks in Dubai. She also said that on the pretext of dropping her home, Salman tried to harass her sexually in a car and when she refused to comply to the advances, he told her that such incidents are normal in the film industry.
Salman rose to fame with his performances in dance reality show Dance India Dance. Khan also went on to won the show in the year 2009. The actor then appeared as a choreographer participant in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa from season 4-9. He also participated in adventure reality show Khatron Ke Khiladi season 5 in the year 2014. Salman is one of the most sought-after dance designers in the Hindi film industry. He has also acted with other choreographers in Remo D’Souza’s ABCD: Anybody Can Dance, which was released in the year 2014. The film features Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles.
Khan is married to Faiza Haramain, who had worked at Kingfisher Airlines in the past. More details on the case are awaited.
