The shooting of the upcoming movie Saand Ki Aankh, starring actors Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar has recently gone on floors. The cast is currently in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh, where the shooting is reported to have commenced and on the festival of colours, lead star Taapsee shared a picture from the sets, wishing fans a “Happy Holi” in desi style. In the shared picture, Taapsee and Bhumi can be seen dressed in rustic attire of a shirt and skirt with a long veil drawn over their heads. With their identity completely hidden from the camera, it is hard to tell which one is Taapsee and who is Bhumi among the two. True to the festive spirit, both have colours smeared on their hands as they dodge coloured powder thrown on them from an unknown source. Taapsee captioned the vibrant picture as, “तम सब को मारे #साँडकीआँख के परिवार के तरफ़ से “हैपी होली” ! रंग चढ़ने वाला है …. (Wish you all a “Happy Holi” from my Saand Ki Aankh family! Based on old sharpshooters, Chandro Tomar and her sister-in-law Prakashi Tomar, the movie Saand Ki Aankh starring Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar has gone on floors. Taapsee had recently shared an image from the upcoming movie and captioned it, “Jai mata di. Let’s shoot.” Chandro (87) and Prakashi (82) from Uttar Pradesh’s Johri village, reportedly took up sharpshooting in their 50s and the former is fondly called shooter ‘dadi’ for being the world’s oldest female sharpshooter.

Directed by Tushar Hiranandani, the movie also features Prakash Jha and Vicky Kadian in pivotal roles. It is being produced by Anurag Kashyap.
