Tanushree Dutta Makes New Shocking Statements Against Nana Patekar in The Sexual Harassment Case

Tanushree Dutta has made new statements revealing more about how Nana Patekar allegedly assaulted her sexually that day

The Tanushree Dutta and Nana Patekar matter doesn’t seem to be taking a rest. There are versions in the media and on social media. What Tanushree has alleged is quite serious and is like Bollywood’s own #MeToo movement where a former Hindi film actress is alleging sexual harassment against a National Award winning actor and somebody who is considered as one of the most respected actors in the industry.

Nana has spent more than 40 years working in films. Tanushree, a former Miss India, left the industry after acting in a few popular films like Aashiq Banaya Aapne, Dhol, Raqeeb and Good Boy, Bad Boy among others. She returned to India a few days back to see his newly-married sister, Ishita Dutta. Meanwhile, she gave an explosive interview to Zoom and talked about actresses being subjected to harassment in the Hindi film industry. Elaborating on the same with her own experience, Tanushree alleged that Nana Patekar misbehaved with her during the shoot of a dance number in 2009 released Bollywood film Horn ‘OK’ Pleasss. She added that Nana tried to get intimate with her during the shoot, due to which she had to walk out of the film. The song was later done by Rakhi Sawant.

Now, in another interview to Spotboye, Tanushree has revealed a bit more on the incident. Here are a few statements she made:

On Nana hijacking the choreography of the song:
“Next day, he was even closer. And then, he started behaving bizarre. He asked Ganesh Acharya (choreographer, whom I had recommended for that song) to move out, grabbed me by my arm, and started telling me: Idhar khadi ho ja, Udhar khadi ho ja. He wanted to teach me how I should dance. And Acharya didn’t even realise that he was doing something wrong in obeying Nana. The rest of the assistants were, however, shocked”.

On being forced to do the song:
“I was supposed to get touchy-feely with Nana Patekar. When I resisted, they said that I was ‘uncooperative’ and ‘woh scene karna hi padega‘. That was ridiculous. How can you force me?

On calling the goons:
“I walked out of the set. In no time, they had called the media and the MNS guys. Before I could realise, the production team was banging on the door of my vanity van. But my parents (who were also on the set) and I tried to drive off, the MNS had arrived and they tried breaking the car. One of their guys got on roof-top of the car and started jumping. The gates were closed. Instructions were given to not let my car go out. It was horrifying. Thankfully, the police arrived”.

On launching a complaint:
“I even complained to the Producers’ Association. All prominent people were there, but their attitude was heartbreaking. They were looking at me as if I have done something criminal in saying such a thing about a so-called respectable man. My Dad was also horrified”.

On Nana’s history of assaulting actresses sexually:
“He is not a respectable man. There are actresses who have complained about his behaviour. There was a particular actress who called him obnoxious. There have been hushed whispers”.

On Nana calling her ‘daughter’ in front of the media:
“Look at the category of human being he is. The lowest of the low. He had the option to back off but he came with a counter. After the intimate scene was suddenly introduced, it was like ‘Tu Kya Bol Rahi Hai Mujhko Hat Jaane Ko, Ab Tu Mujhse Aur Chumma Chaati Kar’. That was the mentality. He called goons to attack me, and then went and told the media audaciously that ‘I am like a daughter to him”.

Well, while Tanushree is widely speaking about the issue, Nana has called this entire controversy frivolous by saying “it’s a waste talking.” In an interview to Mirror Now, the veteran actor has denied all the allegation put against him by the actress.
