Total Dhamaal Box Office Collection Day 8: Ajay Devgn Movie to Cross Rs 100 Crore Mark on Day 9

Total Dhamaal set to enter Rs 100 crore club on day 9.

Total Dhamaal has been going strong at the box office ever since it was released on February 22 this year. The movie, starring Ajay Devgn, Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit Nene, Johnny Lever, Arshad Warsi, Jaaved Jaaferi, Riteish Deshmukh and Sanjay Mishra, had touched Rs 72.25 crore on day 4 and on the eighth day it had minted Rs 99.30 crore. It now looks all set to cross the Rs 100 crore mark on its ninth day.

Film trade analyst Taran Adarsh, who had tweeted out the numbers, had said that the movie is going strong at the box office on day 8 despite it being shown on fewer screens and competing with two other significant movies.

He had further tweeted that when the movie crosses the Rs 100 crore mark, it will be Ajay Devgn’s ninth film to cross the mark, Riteish Deshmukh’s fifth, Anil Kapoor and Arshad Warsi’s third, with Madhuri Dixit making her debut in the Rs 100 crore club.

Total Dhamaal was on February 23 reported to have been leaked online by piracy website Tamil Rockers, but it appears to have not affected the successful run of the family-oriented movie, at the box office.

The movie, which is the third installment of the Dhamaal film series and a sequel to 2011’s Double Dhamaal, had been directed and co-produced by Indra Kumar and had been termed by critics as entertaining.
