Total Dhamaal also features Anil Kapoor, Madhuri Dixit, Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaaferi, Arshad Warsi and Johny Lever in other important roles. The film is a jungle comedy and a third film in the popular Dhamaal franchise. It has already set a record for its director, Indra Kumar, by being his second film to reach Rs 100 crore at the Box Office after Grand Masti. The earlier two films in the Dhamaal franchise were also successful.

The film is expected to earn well at the Box Office considering no film with an equal mass appeal is going to hit the screens soon. This week will see the release of Badla, starring Amitabh Bachchan-Taapsee Pannu, and directed by Sujoy Ghosh. The film is a suspense thriller and produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment.

Earlier, commenting on critics usually calling films like Total Dhamaal ‘brainless’, Ajay told PTI, “I don’t know why they say it is brainless. It is not easy to make people laugh. Today in our country or all over the world, comedians are the biggest stars. Like here in India, we have Kapil Sharma. It needs intelligence to make people laugh, you just can’t make faces and make people laugh.”
