Total Dhamaal Box Office Weekend 2 Collection: Ajay Devgn’s Film Earns Rs 117.77 cr, Mahashivratri Holiday to Benefit

Actor Ajay Devgn starrer jungle comedy, Total Dhamaal has raked in a business of Rs 117.77 crore at the Box Office so far. The Sunday (March 3) collections of the film were good considering the Indra Kumar director garnered a total of Rs 11.45 crore on its second Sunday. The film is being loved by the family audience and kids alike which is why it has just refused to stop performing despite new releases. The second-weekend collection of Total Dhamaal is:

Friday: Rs 4.75 crore
Saturday: Rs 7.02 crore
Sunday: Rs 11.45 crore
Total: Rs 23.22 crore

The film is expected to gain more today, on Monday, March 4 due to Mahashivratri holiday. Total Dhamaal has perfectly fallen at par with the expectations of the audience. The film also features Madhuri Dixit, Anil Kapoor, Riteish Deshmukh, Arshad Warsi, Johny Lever and Jaaved Jaaferi among others. If its Box Office performance remains steady, it is expected to emerge as Ajay Devgn’s third highest grosser of all time, beating Golmaal 3 at the Box Office. The film is also Indra Kumar’s second Rs 100 crore gainer at the Box Office after Grand Masti. 

Earlier, commenting on critics usually calling films like Total Dhamaal ‘brainless’, Ajay told PTI, “I don’t know why they say it is brainless. It is not easy to make people laugh. Today in our country or all over the world, comedians are the biggest stars. Like here in India, we have Kapil Sharma. It needs intelligence to make people laugh, you just can’t make faces and make people laugh.”
