Actor Katrina Kaif was to work with Varun Dhawan in Remo D’Souza‘s dance film that’s now titled as Street Dancer. The film was an anticipated one because it was set to bring Varun and Katrina together for the first time on-screen. However, Katrina stepped out of the film just before the team was beginning the shoot. Now, Varun has opened up on the same. In his latest interview with a daily, the actor has revealed how he completely understood Katrina’s situation when she made the decision of leaving Street Dancer. The Kalank star also mentioned that Katrina discussed with him before announcing her exit and it meant a lot to him.

Varun talked to Mid-Day and said it wasn’t an easy decision for Katrina and everyone was really excited to have her on board. However, circumstances took a strange turn and she had to leave the project but that didn’t change their relationship. Varun said there are no hard feelings between him and the Bharat star. He also said that Katrina even requested for a shift in the shoot-dates but that could not have been possible considering a lot of things were planned and executed already.

Varun was quoted by the daily saying. “She called me and discussed why she would have to exit the film. That shows her maturity and respectfulness, and it means a lot to me. I am sure we will work together in the future.”

The actor expressed his happiness over reuniting with Shraddha Kapoor in Street Dancer. He said they are attempting to present something that’s not been shown on-screen before. He said, “It’s amazing to have Shraddha in the film; it’s a reunion for us. We’re attempting something that hasn’t been seen on screen before – the film may be in 4DX format.”
