Sparking off a series of rumours after attending a Diwali party together last year, Bollywood diva Katrina Kaif and national crush Vicky Kaushal set the rumour mills running in Tinseltown after they were constantly papped at dinners and parties. Though the two never opened up about their relationship, both Katrina and Vicky have been constantly under the glare of shutterbugs.
In an interview with Bollywood Hungama recently, Vicky was asked whether there was any truth in him dating Katrina. Vicky asserted, “I hope you respect this… I really want to guard my personal life to some extent because if you open up, it leads to discussions and interpretations and misinterpretations. That is something I am not inviting. I guess it is better that way, that I guard my personal life to some extent and I don’t want to open up about anything.”
There are strong speculations in the Bollywood grapevine that the two stars are silently dating and only a few close industry friends know about their relationship. It is believed that both Vicky and Katrina like to spend time together and never lose out on an opportunity to be with each other at a party or an event. The two were clicked by the paparazzi outside Vicky’s building. It was reported that even at the Ali Abbas Zafar’s birthday party that happened recently, Vicky and Katrina definitely stole some gazes and apparently, Vicky was the first one to cheer loud when Katrina hit the dance floor. The two, however, always avoided being clicked together.
On the professional front, Vicky Kaushal is gearing up for debutant Bhanu Pratap Singh’s Bhoot Part One: The Haunted Ship which is produced by Karan Johar under his home banner. Vicky plays the role of a servicing officer who has been assigned to examine a stranded ‘haunted’ ship that has appeared at the coast of Mumbai from nowhere. The moment he steps inside the ship, strange things start happening to him. Vicky’s character gets stranded inside the ship as the ghost of a kid tries to kill him. In one of the scariest scenes, the ghost of the girl is seen walking upside down on the ceiling of the room.
The film features Vicky Kaushal and Bhumi Pednekar in important roles and the trailer suggests a lot more mystery and spookiness than expected. Apart from this, Vicky has Takht with Karan Johar. After wrapping up Takht, the actor will reunite with his Uri director – Aditya Dhar for his next titled The Immortal Ashwatthama.
