Sridevi was born in Tamil Nadu. She began her acting career at the nascent age of 4 and then went onto do many Tamil, Telugu and Kannada films before making her mark in Bollywood. She rose to super stardom status in the late 80s and redefined the role of a female protagonist in films, which was always considered to be secondary to the male protagonist. Her daughter, Janhvi is all set to make her Bollywood debut with Dhadak this year and everyone who knew Sridevi, knew that she wanted to see her daughter dazzle on screen the way she once did. It’s truly heartbreaking to realise that she won’t be around to see Janhvi make her mark in the world of films. Dhadak is slated to release in July this year.
