Mani Ratnam’s film, Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is all set to hit the screens in the coming days. The audio launch event of the movie took place on Wednesday in Chennai which was attended by composer AR Rahman, lyricist Vairamuthu, actors Aditi Rao Hydari, Arvind Swami, Aishwarya Rajesh, Arun Vijay, Silambarasan and Dayana Erappa along with the filmmaker. Rahman performed to some of the songs of the movie and also talked about being the part of the film. The first track was Mazhai kuruvi. He said, “this film takes us back to days of Nayakan. The actors also talked about their roles. When Aditi was quizzed on her character, she stated that she won’t reveal any secret.



Simbu and Arun Vijay teamed up with the director for the first time. The latter stated that he was nervous to be on the sets but Mani made him feel comfortable. He went on to say that he is extremely happy that his 25th film has music composed by AR Rahman.

Chekka Chivantha Vaanam is bankrolled by Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions. It is all set to hit the screens on September 28.
