Vicky Kaushal has been soaking all the praise and appreciation for his impeccable portrayal of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj in the latest period-drama Chhaava. The Laxman Utekar directorial hit the screens on 14th February, 2025, coinciding with Valentine’s Day. For the unversed, the film was reportedly scheduled to be released last year in December but the makers decided to postpone it to avoid the clash with the Allu Arjun’s highly-anticipated massy actioner Pushpa 2.

Chhaava’s latest box office updates

According to entertainment tracking portal Sacnilk, Chhaava emerged as the biggest opening Hindi film of 2025 so far. The film grossed Rs 116.5 crore in first 3 days and passed the first Monday with exceptional numbers.

The collective earnings of Chhaava are at Rs 153 crore in just five days. After crossing Rs 150 crore mark, the film is expected to enter Rs 200 crore club by the end of its first week.

Chhaava Vs Pushpa 2: The Rule

According to latest updates by Sacnilk, Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava saw a slight increase on its first Tuesday compared to the previous day. As per the tracking site, the film recorded 18.19% footfalls in the morning shows, and witnessed 17.80% occupancy in morning shows on Monday.

Vicky Kaushal’s Chhaava has surpassed Puspha 2 (Hindi) morning occupancy on its first Tuesday. The Allu Arjun-starrer recorded 16.9% footfalls in theatres during Tuesday morning shows.

Backed by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films, Chhaava has been continuously roaring at the box office. This blockbuster period drama has the potential to touch Rs 350 crore and more by the end of its theatrical run.
